For about four months I have had this big square board (a little over 1x1m) sitting in the shed.  It was lovingly primed it with four coats of gesso and I promised myself that this would be my warm up painting, my path back to my craft.  I had intentions of creating something that reflected the bush around where I live but I never go around to it.  Today I brought it inside and sat it in front of me while I did other things.

I had this container of oil pastels that all melted together from the heat the day we drove to Thredbo at Christmas time.  I have been waiting for an opportunity to use them.
